Arrow McLaren SP announced on Wednesday ahead of the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season opening Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday that they have entered into a partnership with Indianapolis based cyber security experts Pondurance.
Pondurance will provide cyber security support during the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season and speaking about the news Pondurance CEO Landon Lewis said:
“Pondurance is thrilled to partner with the Arrow McLaren SP INDYCAR team. The critical data that gives each winning team a competitive advantage requires 24×7 detection and response with a highly scalable cloud platform to protect their valuable intellectual property. We are helping AMSP protect its operations, engineering data, and telemetry with our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) platform. With the onslaught of widespread cyberattacks impacting organizations of all sizes, we are excited to be a part of the team that helps protect AMSP. Our partnership proves that high performance in a racing team extends to analyzing & protecting every byte of real-time data that is critical to winning.
Arrow McLaren SP Managing Director Taylor Kiel commented saying:
Partnering with Pondurance gives us the peace of mind knowing that our technology resources are protected. This allows us to focus fully on competing for race wins every weekend in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. The entire team is thrilled to have them on board and keep us safe.
The 2020 NTT IndyCar Series will see Patricio O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren SP and Oliver Askew in the No.7 Arrow McLaren SP while Fernando Alonso will compete in the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on August 23.
