Alice Powell took victory in the final race of the W Series championship at Brands Hatch on Sunday as Jamie Chadwick took victory in the championship. Chadwick started the race from pole position but fell back during the race and came home in fourth place.
Emma Kimilainen finished the race in second place just ahead of Beitske Visser who completed the podium. Chadwick ended the race just ahead of Fabienne Wohlwend and Vicky Piria.
For Powell it was her first W Series victory and it means that she finishes the season in third place in the championship. Jessica Hawkins finished the race in seventh place just ahead of Marta Garcia and Sabre Cook. Sarah Moore rounded out the top ten just ahead of Caitlin Wood and Tasmin Pepper.
Gosia Rdest finished the race in 13th place just ahead of Vivien Keszthelyi and Naomi Schiff who did a great job coming from the back of the field to finish the race in 14th place.
Esmee Hawkey finished the race in 16th after stalling on at the start dropping her down the field and coming home just ahead of Shea Holbrook. Megan Gilkes came home in 18th place just ahead of Sarah Bovy who rounded out the order. Miki Koyoma failed to finish the race and brought out the safety car after hitting the barrier having spun and stalled her car.
The result means that Chadwick wins the championship by ten points from Beitske Visser.
