Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet claimed Penske’s 700th pole position across all of their race teams.
The Australian claimed his 71st career pole for Sunday’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Valvoline and speaking following qualifying he said:
It has been a while. I mean, been on the front row a few times. Yeah, it’s nice to get a pole always. One point, and get to lead the field to green. I’m going to enjoy it for an hour or so and get back to practice.
It will be nice to see nothing in front of me for the first time in a while.
It was Power’s first NTT P1 Award since July 2023.
