Team Penske’s Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet hit series points leader Scott Dixon in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda on the opening lap of the Honda Indy Toronto.

As a result of the collision, Dixon has gone half a lap down while Power’s car was brought back to the paddock for repairs.

Dixon has now lost the lead in the championship with hos main rival Helio Castroneves in the No.3 Hitachi Chevrolet leading the race.

As things stand, Dixon would head to Mid-Ohio 34 points behind Castroneves. Dixon was handed a drive through penalty for work on pitroad when they were closed.
