Will Power in the No.12 Verizon 5G Team Penske says that he was extremely happy to finish third at Barber Motorsports Park. He said that the only race he has been disappointed with one result which was Texas after he finished on the podium in third place today for his first podium of the season.
Speaking following the race, Power said that he would have been happy with fifth or sixth but he was delighted with his podium finish heading into the month of May.
Speaking to Paddock Eye following the race, Power said that the team has been there or there about this season, and looking ahead to the month of May he said that they have the Grand Prix on the IMS road course but that the Indianapolis 500 is a stand-alone event and a different animal bt he hopes that the team is competitive over the course of May.
Power said that the car was really good and that he tried to catch Grosjean but just couldn’t make it happen today. We were pretty close to where we wanted to be and the track is great and the promoters are leading by example.
