Team Penske’s Will Power who is mathematically in thw running to claim his second Verizon IndyCar Series championship this weekend says he ready to race despite hyperextending his left knee.

The Australian injuried his knee when he was caught by a wave while swimming at Half Moon Bay in North Carolina earlier this week.

Power said he is just a bit bruised but that he does not feel any pain.

Power who drives the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet ended the open Verizon IndyCar Series test at Sonoma Raceway on Thursday as the fastest driver.
