Team Penske’s Will Power who drives the No.12 Verizon 5G Chevrolet in the NTT IndyCar Series has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with the Roger Penske-owned outfit. The Australian who made contact with the wall going into the final corner during qualifying and starts the Firestone Grand Prix from St Petersburg from 20th.
Power said it was nuts to go from one of the best cars on Friday to the worst today, it is unbelievable. Speaking about his new contract to NBC during qualifying, Power said it’s fantastic, I love being at the team, they have been very loyal to me.
A disappointing day but we will hope for a yellow tomorrow.
