IndyCar Radio network host Jake Query has purchased a commemorative brick from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Melchi family.

Adam Melchi, an avid fan of the Indianapolis 500 was found dead in one of the car parks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Monday afternoon by campers who had stayed at the track on Sunday night following the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Adam Melchi’s wife Sarah said on Tuesday that the pair had planned to purchase a commemorative brick in the future and that Adam lived for the Indianapolis 500.

Following a tweet from a fan about what could be done to celebrate Adam’s life and love for the Verizon IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Jake Query tweeted that it had been taken care of.
