Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal says he couldn’t be happier with the news that the Verizon IndyCar Series will return to Laguna Seca in 2019.

It was announced on Tuesday that the 2019 Verizon IndyCar Series season finale will take place at the WhetherTech Raceway Laguna Seca after circuit officials reached a three year agreement with IndyCar to host the race.

It will be the first time since 2004 that the Verizon IndyCar Series will compete at the famous circuit and replaces the Grand Prix of Sonoma.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing co-owner Bobby Rahal was extremely successful as a driver winning here four consecutive years and speaking about the return of Laguna Seca, Rahal’s son Graham who drives the No.15 Honda for RLLR commented by saying:

I couldn’t be happier about this. @WeatherTechRcwy is undoubtedly one of the best circuits in our country, and @IndyCar belongs there. So happy to be going back! Let’s do this!!!
