Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal in the No.15 Bobby Rahal Automotive Group Honda has revealed he was lucky to end qualifying in seventh place for today’s ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.

Speaking to fans in the Verizon IndyCar Series paddock during a Facebook Live video on Sunday morning, Rahal revealed he suffered a right rear puncture during his qualifying effort.

Rahal starts the race just ahead of Harding Racing’s Gabby Chaves and just behind Alexander Rossi.

Rahal went on to say that full mileage shouldn’t be a problem during today’s 500 miler as Honda have worked out the full mileage situation with their engine.

Rahal revealed to fans that he expects the race to run with six stops doing seven stints.

Rahal heads into the race in sixth place in the series standings, 58 points behind leader Josef Newgarden.
