Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen has admitted that the last two Grand Prix in Monaco and Canada have not been ideal.
While team mate Sebastian Verte lead the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday and finished the race in second place Raikkonen struggled and finished the race in sixth place where he started from.
Questions continue to be asked about the Iceman’s future in Formula One with his contract up at the end the season and there has been lots of speculation that he will be replaced.
Raikkonen heads to the new European Grand Prix, the Baku street circuit in Azerbaijan in fifth place in the championship on 69 points.
Ferratic Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene confirmed that Raikkonen was told to conserve fuel towards the end of the of the race and this meant that he was unable to get heat into his tyres which in turn affected the performance of the car.
