Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen was the pacesetter in the final practice session ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya. Raikkonen set a fastest time of 01:20.214s leading his team mate Sebastian Vettel who was forced to stop on pit-road with the team having being forced to change his power unit.
Lewis Hamilton was third fastest for Mercedes just ahead of his team mate Valtteri Bottas who completed just seven laps in the final practice session.
Max Verstappen was fifth fastest for Red Bull Racing just ahead of his team mate Daniel Ricciardo while the Renault Sport F1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg ending the session in seventh place just ahead of Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa.
Carlos Sainz was ninth fastest for Toro Rosso while McLaren Honda’s Fernando Alonso recovered from a catastrophic engine failure on Friday to end the session in 10th place.
The Haas F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen ended the session in 11th and 12th place respectively just ahead of Force India’s Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon. Daniil Kvyat was 15th in the second Toro Rosso just ending the session ahead of the Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson.
Lance Stroll was 17th fastest just ahead of Jolyon Palmer and McLaren Honda’s Stoffel Vandoorne while Pascal Wehrlein rounded out the order in 20th place.
