Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen led the way in the second practice session ahead of Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix. The Iceman set a fastest time of 01:29.817s ending the day 0.011s ahead of his team mate Sebastian Vettel.
Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas was third fastest ending the session just ahead of his team mate, defending world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen recovered from his issues this morning ending the session in fifth place just ahead of his team mate Daniel Ricciardo who had led the opening session for the Milton Keynes based outfit this morning.
Renault Sport F1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg was seventh fastest just ahead of Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly who was extremely impressive as he ended the session 1.415s behind Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.
Fernando Alonso was ninth fastest for McLaren Renault while his team mate Stoffel Vandoorne rounded out the top ten.
The Haas F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean ended the session in 11th place just ahead of Carlos Sainz in the second Renault. Esteban Ocon was 13th just ahead of his Sahara Force India team mate Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez. Kevin Magnussen was 15th for the Haas F1 Team just ahead of the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Charles LeClerc.
Williams Martini Racing’s Lance Stroll and Sergey Siroktin were 17th and 18th respectively. Marcus Ericsson was 19th for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team while Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Brendon Hartley rounded out the order in 20th place.
