A petition started by fans to keep Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari in 2019 has reached over 20,000 signatures.
The petition came about after it emerged that Kimi Raikkonen was told prior to the start of last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix that he is to be replaced by Charles Leclerc next season.
The Iceman has outperformed team mate Sebastian Vettel in recent races including in Italy where he started the race from pole and finished the race in second place.
Formula One Managing Director Ross Brawn has backed the Iceman saying that he has seen a big change in the Finn since returning to the sport last year as he notices that Raikkonen smiles more and spends more time with the fans.
Brawn believes that Raikkonen will remain in the sport next season.
