Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen has revealed that he wants to stay with the Italian team beyond the end of his current contract if the outfit want to keep him.

The Iceman who is Ferrari’s last world champion is out of contract with the outfit at the end of this season finished the season opening Australian Grand Prix in fourth place while his team mate Sebastian Vettel took victory.

Following the race in Australia, Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene said that it is too early to open contract talks with his drivers at this stage in the season.

Raikkonen heads to China this weekend having taken victory here in 2007 on his way to winning the championship.
