The Red Bull Racing Formula One Team launched their 2016 car, the RB12 in the Barcelona pit-lane on Monday morning ahead of the start of winter testing at the Spanish circuit.
Red Bull Racing Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey commented on the new car by saying:
I’m often asked what area of the car I’m most pleased with but with the stable regulations we have it’s difficult to find any major new areas to exploit, Therefore, what we’ve really tried to concentrate on with this car is getting a cohesive package for all the parts – the suspension, the chassis dynamics, aerodynamics – that they all work together in harmony. I think we’ve managed to build on the lessons of last year and all the indications from our simulations suggest that this year’s chassis should be strong.
Red Bull Racing have lost their associate partner Infiniti to the Renault F1 Team while they remain with Renault the power units have been badged as TAG-HEUER.
Daniel Ricciardo will drive the RB12 on the opening two days of the test before handing the car over to Daniil Kvyat for the final two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
