Ricciardo’s run in the car is a present of the car’s owner and his McLaren CEO Zak Brown for his victory at the Italian Grand Prix earlier this season. Ricciardo will be back in the car on Sunday morning ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
It has been a big weekend for the McLaren Racing group as they welcomed their NTT IndyCar Series drivers, Pato O’Ward and Felix Rosenqvist to the Circuit of the Americas and it is the first time since McLaren took a majority shareholding in the IndyCar team that both teams have been together at the race track.
