Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo led the opening practice session on Friday ahead of this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix. The Australian set a fastest time of 01:39.711s ending the session just ahead of his team mate Max Verstappen.
Sebastian Vettel was third fastest just ahead of his team mate Kimi Raikkonen. It was a great session for the Renault Sport F1 Team as Nico Hulkenberg was fifth with a fastest time of 01:41.105s ending the session just ahead of championship leader Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes.
Carlos Sainz in the second Renault was seventh just ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the second Mercedes. The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Charles LeClerc was ninth fastest just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean who rounded out the top ten.
Marcus Ericsson in the second Sauber was 11th just ahead of Sergio Perez while the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen was 13th fastest.
Fernando Alonso was 14th for McLaren Renault just ahead of Esteban Ocon while Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly and Brendan Hartley were 16th and 17th respectively. Williams Martini Racing’s Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin were 18th and 19th respectively while Stoffel Vandoorne rounded out the order for McLaren.
