Oracle Red Bull Racing advisor Dr. Helmut Marko has confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will return to the team in 2023 albeit on a test and reserve driver role.
Speaking in the F1 Paddock in Abu Dhabi on Saturday ahead of qualifying for the final race of the year, Red Bull Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner said that there is contract in place with Ricciardo but they are waiting for him to sign it.
The Australian left Red Bull at the end of 2018 for a move to Renault but joined McLaren in 2020.

It was announced in August that Ricciardo was being released from his contract a year early with McLaren opting to sign rookie Oscar Piastri from Alpine.
This sparked suggestions that Ricciardo could be placed with the Arrow McLaren SP IndyCar team however the Australian ruled this out saying he did not want compete on ovals also the team have a full roster of drivers with the arrival of Alexander Rossi from Andretti Autosport.
