Several engineers from the Honda powered Verizon IndyCar Series teams were at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday as Chip Ganassi Racing and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports tested the new universal aero-kit ahead of its debut in 2018.

Scott Dixon and James Hinchcliffe were in action at the Speedway completing valuable mileage for Honda.

Engineers from Dale Coyne Racing, Andretti Autosport and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing were at the circuit as they watched Chip Ganassi Racing and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in action on track.

Ryan Hunter Reay’s race engineer at Andretti Autosport, Ray Gosselin says that his team just want to get their hands on the new aero kit and go testing.

The other Honda team’s won’t take delivery of the new aero-kits until after Thanksgiving and then they won’t get to test the new kit until January when winter testing gets underway.
