Andretti Global’s James Roe in the No.29 Topcon Dallara was left disappointed following the opening race of the 2025 INDY NXT presented by Firestone season at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg presented by RP Funding.
The Irishman started from 14th place but ran into trouble shortly after the start of the race.
Roe’s crew got him back out on track and he ended the race in 20th place.
Speaking following the race Roe said:
Not the start we were looking for between getting collected at the start and the incident when some guys came across the track. “We had to pit for wishbone and wing damage, but got back out two laps down. St. Pete has never been too kind to us, so we’ll just carry on from here and get ready for Barber.”
