Andretti Global’s James Roe has been placed on probation by INDYCAR for the next three races after failing to take the final restart in Detroit from the rear of the field.

INDY NXT presented by Firestone released the following statement:

James Roe has been placed on probation for the next three INDY NXT by Firestone events following a failure to take the final restart from the rear of the field during the Detroit Grand Prix.

Additionally, the No. 29 team will not be permitted to participate in qualifying for Sunday’s race at World Wide Technology Raceway and will be required to start at the rear of the field.
