Mercedes Nico Rosberg took a dominant lights to flag victory in the Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, winning the race just ahead of Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo.
Lewis Hamilton maintains his lead in the championship after coming from the back of the grid to finish on the podium in third place. It was a fantastic race for the Sahara Force India Formula One Team as not only did Nico Hulkenberg finish the race in fourth place with Sergio Perez in fifth but the team have also overtaken Williams Martini Racing into fourth place in the Constructors championship.
Sebastian Vettel finished the race in sixth place after colliding with team mate Kimi Raikkonen going into turn 1 sending the pair to the back of the field with Raikkonen suffering a fire in the pit-lane when he came in for repairs following the accident with Vettel.
The Iceman recovered to finish the race in ninth place. It was a great race for Fernando Alonso as the Spaniard finished the race in seventh place just ahead of Valtteri Bottas. Felipe Massa rounded out the top ten for the Williams Martini Racing Team.
Starting the race from second place, the race never materialized for Max Verstappen as he finished the race in 11th place just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Esteban Gutierrez and Romain Grosjean while Daniil Kvyat was 14th.
Jolyon Palmer finished the race in 15th place just ahead of Manor’s Esteban Ocon and Felipe Nasr. The race was red flagged following a huge crash for Kevin Magnussen in the Renault sport F1 Team, the Dane appeared to suffered some sort of ankle injury. Marcus Ericsson, Carlos Sainz, Jenson Button and Pascal Wehrlein all retired from the race.
