Meyer Shank Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist says he is excited to be back on home soil for the next three weeks as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for this weekend’s Sonsio Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the IMS road course.
The Swede goes into the weekend off the back of a 13th place finish last time out in Barber, and looking ahead to the Indy road course on Saturday, he says:
“Excited to be on home soil for the next three weeks. The Indy GP is a great way to kick things off before things get serious at the 500. It’s always nice to get back into the rhythm here at IMS and build momentum heading into the biggest race of the year. The team has been working hard, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend.”
Marcus Armstrong debuted here with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2023 with an 11th place and followed that in 2024 with a top-five finish. The New Zealander goes into the weekend off the back of a strong race in Barber last time out. Although he came home in 17th place, Armstrong led six laps and showed solid race pace. Looking ahead to this weekend he says:
“Looking forward to getting back on track. As is Barber, the IMS road course is a very European style track, something I’m used to. We’ve had a strong car here in the past, so I hope we can have a good weekend from start to finish. The weather is always unpredictable here in Indy as well so let’s see what the conditions bring.”
