Chip Ganassi Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist looks set to replace Oliver Askew in the No.7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2021.
Reports emerging in the U.S overnight have the Swede who made his debut with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2019 joining Pato O’Ward.
Paddock Eye understands that that Chip Ganassi intends to run three cars full time in 2021 with Scott Dixon back in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda alongside Marcus Ericsson in the No.8 Huski Chocolate Honda while seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson joins the team for road and street course events.
It is understood that Johnson will share his car, the No.10 Honda with NTT IndyCar Series veteran Tony Kanaan who will once again compete on ovals in partial programme.
If TK does end up back at Ganassi he would be reunited with Scott Dixon having raced alongside the Iceman in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda from 2014 to 2017 before moving to AJ Foyt Racing.
