NTT IndyCar Series team owner Chip Ganassi says that he believes his new driver, Felix Rosenqvist will make a smooth transition to the NTT IndyCar Series as he prepares to make his race debut in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda at the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
Speaking about Scott Dixon who won his fifth series title with Ganassi in 2018, Ganassi said he is excited about 2019 and is sure that the Iceman, the most successful active driver in the NTT IndyCar Series can challenge for a sixth title.
Ganassi told IndyCar.com that Dixon has taken his team to a completely different level and that he has helped the team to look at the series differently which been key to their recent success together.
Rosenqvist had a great test at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Friday as he finished the test in second place behind Carlin Racing’s Max Chilton.
The Swede has a long affiliation with Chip Ganassi Racing having tested with the team over the past few seasons and this has helped him to build up a strong relationship with the team.
