ECR’s Alexander Rossi in the No.20 JAVA House Chevrolet says that he hopes that the team can roll off the truck substantially this weekend as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads to Alabama for the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park.
Rossi completed his first test with ECR here and was happy with how it went. He hopes the team can carry that momentum into this weekend’s race to gear up nicely for an intense May. Rossi heads into the race in Barber this weekend in 11th place in the championship and looking ahead to the race, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner says:
“Barber is such an amazing facility and the weather this weekend looks nothing short of perfect to take advantage of that! ECR has had some very fast cars here in the past and we had a strong test a couple months ago, so we will look to roll off the truck strong and carry that throughout the entirety of the weekend. I can’t wait to get back out there!”
Christian Rasmussen in the No.21 Splenda Chevrolet is excited about heading to one of his favorite race tracks saying:
Barber is one of my favorite tracks on the calendar! It’s fast and flowing with plenty of elevation changes. We had a very promising test there earlier this year where we showed good speed, so I’m excited to see what we can do there this weekend.”
