George Russell led a Mercedes-powered 1,2,3 at the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday. The Englishman beat his teammate Lewis Hamilton to victory after switching to a one stop strategy for the race.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, fresh from his victory in Hungary last weekend completed the podium in third place.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who started from pole came home in fourth place just ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Verstappen, who came from 11th to finish the race in 5th place in what was a case of damage limitations for the Dutch driver.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz came home in seventh just ahead of Sergio Perez who had started on the front row.

Fernando Alonso and Estaban Ocon rounded out the top ten.

Daniel Ricciardo was 11th just ahead of Lance Stroll and Alex Albon while Pierre Gasly came home in 14th for Alpine.

The MoneyGram Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen was 15th just ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Yuki Tsunoda. Logan Sargeant was 18th for Williams.

Nico Hulkenberg was the last driver classified in 19th for the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.

Zhou Guanyu was not classified in 20th. The next race in the Netherlands takes place next month as Formula One heads off on its annual summer break.
