Team Penske announced a management restructuring on Thursday with race engineer Ron Ruzewski being named Managing Director of both the Verizon IndyCar Series and IMSA race programmes.
Ruzewski will report directly to Team Penske president Tim Cindric.
Race engineers Jon Bouslog and Kyle Moyer have been appointed General Managers within the Penske organisation and will report directly to Ruzewski.
Moyer is the new IndyCar General Manager and will oversee the running of their three full-time IndyCar machines driven by Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power.
Bouslog will oversee Penske’s IMSA WhetherTech championship Acura DPi entries piloted by former Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Helio Castroneves.
Tim Cindric commented on the news saying:
It’s hard to imagine Team Penske without Clive Howell as he has played such a key role in creating the culture that we refer to as the Penske Way. “That said, one of our biggest strengths has been the depth we have throughout the organization. Ron, Kyle and Jon have nearly 50 years of collective experience with Team Penske. Their leadership will continue to bring continuity to our programs and we are confident in their ability to build on what has already been achieved.”
