Carlos Sainz is set to be confirmed as Sebastian Vettel’s replacement at Ferrari for 2021 later this week according to reports emerging from Italy.

Motorsport.it report on Tuesday that the Spaniard has agreed terms to move to Ferrari in 2021 after it was confirmed that Vettel and Ferrari will part company at the end of the season.

Sainz who scored his first Formula One podium with McLaren in Brazil last season will reportedly partner Charles Leclerc.

Paddock Eye understands that while Sainz is set to join Ferrari, Vettel’s former team mate Daniel Riccardo is set to replace Sainz at McLaren alongside Lando Norris.
