President of Honda Racing Corporation USA say that it was a disappointing day at the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday.

The race was delayed by four hours due to severe weather and when the race got underway there were a total of eight caution periods during the race.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda ended the day as highest placed Honda-powered car in third place having come from 21st plac.

Speaking following the action, David Salters said:

It was a disappointing day. All things considered, we weren’t good enough on the day. We’ll regroup, lick our wounds, focus our efforts, and come back. That’s how racing works.
