Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Takuma Sato in the No.75 Amada Honda was the fastest driver in the Indianapolis 500 refresher test on Wednesday.
The two-time Indianapolis 500 set a fastest speed of 222.437MPH ending the session just ahead of Marco Andretti in the No.98 MAPEI Honda who set a speed of 221.465MPH.
Devlin DeFrancesco was third fastest for Rahal just ahead of PREMA Racing’s Callum Ilott.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Louis Foster was the fastest rookie in fifth just ahead of fellow rookie Robert Shwartzman.
Jacob Abel was seventh just ahead of Kyle Larson.
Abel, Foster and Shwartzman have completed their rookie orientation.
