AJ Foyt Racing’s Takuma Sato in the No.14 ABC Supply Co Honda believes that the team will be competitive at the Honda Indy Toronto this weekend. The Japanese driver goes into Sunday’s race in 15th place in the series points standings on 205 points and finished the Iowa Corn 300 last time out in 11th place having started the race from 13th place. Speaking ahead of the race this weekend Sato commented by saying:
Toronto is one of the most unique street courses we race on and I enjoy the venue a lot. It has a great atmosphere as fans are very enthusiastic and there is a quite large Japanese community there, too. I also enjoy the great restaurants in downtown. But most importantly, I think we will be competitive so I look forward to it very much.
Jack Hawksworth started the race in Iowa from 14th place and ended up in 15th place and heads to Toronto in 20th place in the series points standings on 144 points. Speaking ahead of the Honda Indy Toronto this weekend he commented by saying:
I love Toronto, it’s steeped in history, it’s a super-tricky circuit and it’s a great city. I also had some poles and won quite a few races here in Star Mazda and Indy Lights before finishing in the top six in my Indy car debut there, so it’s always been pretty kind to me. Hopefully this year will be the scene of another good memory for me in Canada.
