Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced overnight that 2020 Indianapolis 500 Takuma Sato who returned to the team in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2018 has left the outfit.
The Japanese driver who originally drove for the team in 2012 returned to partner Graham Rahal following a spell at AJ Foyt Racing and Andretti Autosport in 2018 winning s number of races with the team including his second Indianapolis 500.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing are expected to announce that Jack Harvey will be one of two new drivers to compete for the team alongside Graham Rahal in the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series with Oliver Askew and James Hinchcliffe two possible candidates for the third full-time Rahal car.
