Defending NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda will have to wait another year to try and claim his seventh series championship.

The Iceman who struggled all race was hit by Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Takuma Sato who spun and as he moved he hit Dixon spinning the New Zelander off the track.

Dixon went into the race 49 points behind championship leader Alex Palou and is now 72 points behind the Spaniard.
