The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team confirmed on Thirsday that they will anouncr their second driver in January and on Friday the Sauber F1 Team confirmed they will do the same.

Marcus Ericsson has been signed up for a second season however Felipe Nasr who has lost his primary sponsor is expected to lose his seat.

The Hinwil based outfit who have new owners ended the 2016 Formula One season in 10th place on 2 points.

One driver who has been tipped to join Sauber is Manor Racing’s Pascal Werhrlein despite the fact the German is backed by Mercedes and Sauber use Ferrari power.
