Arrow McLaren SP’s Felix Rosenqvist who drives the No.7 Vuse Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet says that his former teammate, Scott Dixon is good everywhere and it is a case of trying to capitalize on any mistakes that the six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion makes.
Speaking during a team Zoom on Wednesday, Rosenqvist who drove for Chip Ganassi Racing in 2020 said that Dixon may not be on pole every weekend but he is consistent and can come from the back to finish a race inside the top ten or even in victory lane.
Rosenqvist also said that he hopes the team can bounce back from a difficult start to the season on his side and get some strong results both this weekend with the doubleheader in Detroit and next weekend at Road America. Pato O’Ward echoed this sentiment saying that the team needs to maximize the package they have for road and street course events as they have a very strong superspeedway package.
O’Ward who took victory in race two of the Texas Motor Speedway doubleheader last month goes into the doubleheader in Detroit in third place in the championship on 211 points following his fourth place in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 and will be aiming to build on that momentum this weekend.
