Dale Coyne Racing’s Katherine Legge in the No.51 e.l.f Cosmetics Honda scored her best result of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season at the Milwaukee Mile on Sunday.
Starting the Hy-Vee 250 from 22nd, Legge managed her car well and came home in 15th place just behind her teammate Jack Harvey.
Speaking following the action, Legge said:
We had a decent race, and the e.l.f. Cosmetics car was once again fast. We moved up from our 22nd place on the starting grid to finish 15th so that’s a positive. I think at the end of the day once we analyze everything there are some things we could have done differently but all in all it’s good to finish the race with a strong result. It gives the team some momentum going into Nashville for the season finale.”
For Jack Harvey in the No.18 INVST Honda who started the race from 13th place and came home in 14th and scored the third fastest lap of the race.
Speaking following the action he said:
“I think there were some really good moments in the race but there were also some bad ones. I think we gave away at least one position, maybe two there at the end. So that was disappointing. That being said, we had the third fastest lap of the race which was cool. I think we were able to show the speed we had but I’m not sure we were on the optimal strategy. In the end we started 13th and finished 14th, so that’s not what you would hope for. From a racing perspective, the race was really good fun. I had a great time out there battling with everybody. I think overall, we’re leaving Milwaukee with some good positives and taking some momentum with us into the season finale.
