McLaren CEO Zak Brown has confirmed that the company will make a final decision on whether to enter IndyCar in 2019 this month.

Speaking in Monza ahead of today’s Italian Grand Prix, Brown said that the Woking based outfit have three decisions to make:

  1. To enter the series full time
  2. Compete in the Indianapolis 500 only
  3. Not enter the series at all.

Brown has also confirmed that he will join Fernando Alonso at Barber Motorsports Park on Wednesday to evaluate an IndyCar on a road course.

The test will be conducted with a 2018 spec Andretti Autosport Honda IndyCar.
