Meyer Shank Racing team owner Mike Shank has been appointed to the board of directors of Road America.

The NTT IndyCar Series and IMSA team owner brings over 20 years of motorsport experience, and speaking about the news, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elkhart Lake’s Road America Inc, Ron Pace, said:

“We are excited to have Mike join our Board of Directors and share his vast insight and motorsports expertise as we continue into the future.

Shank made his NTT IndyCar Series debut in 2017 as a one-off entry. Today the team has two full-time drivers in, Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud, while he is also an Indianapolis 500 winner following Castroneves’s victory in 2021.

Speaking about his appointment, Mike Shank said:

“I’m honored to be selected to be on the Board of Directors for Road America. “This is something new for me, but I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team on initiatives for the future.

“Of course, Road America has been a staple on our racing calendars for as long as MSR has been competing, so it’s pretty cool to have an impact on such a special place.
