Meyer Shank Racing team co-owner Michael Shank says he would love to enter Katherine Legge in the Indianapolis 500 but says that it is just a matter of finding to sponsorship in order to enable it to happen.

Legge was one of a host of female former NTT IndyCar Series drivers who competed for Meyer Shank Racing in the Rolex 24 Hours two weeks ago driving a CAT sponsored Acura NSX GT3 where she, Ana Beatriz and Simona De Silvestro finished the race in 13th place in class.

Michael Shank has confirmed that Legge, who competed in the 2012 and 2013 Indianapolis 500 won’t compete in the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 26 but he says that anything is possible in the future.

Shank says he is happy with what Katherine is doing for his team in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship and says that if it leads to a return to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing then he will be very happy about that.
