Fresh from his LMP2 win at the 24 Hours of LeMans, 19-year-old NTT INDYCAR SERIES rookie Nolan Siegel has signed a multi-year contract to compete in the No.6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet and will pilot the car for the remaining ten races of the season starting this weekend at the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Siegel made his NTT INDYCAR SERIES race debut with Dale Coyne Racing this season but was only scheduled to compete in four events for the team but he is looking forward to the opportunity of racing for Arrow McLaren alongside Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi. Speaking about the announcement, Siegel who replaces Theo Pourchaire commented saying:
“I’m looking forward to jumping right in with the Arrow McLaren team this week and confirming my place in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in papaya moving forward. This is an unexpected jump, but I’m thrilled to be in this position after a rewarding run in the Indy NXT by Firestone series with HMD Motorsports. I am looking forward to this new journey and learning alongside the entire team starting this weekend in my home state.”
Arrow McLaren Team Principal Gavin Ward commented saying:
