This weekend’s British Grand Prix is set to be a very special event for former Formula One driver Jenson Button. Button will not only be part of Sky Sports F1HD’s British Grand Prix in Silverstone but on Saturday the 2009 world champion will be reunited with his championship winning Brawn GP car.
The car was in action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend where Rubens Barrichello was reunited with the car and drove it for the first time since 2009.
Button took six wins in the Mercedes powered Brawn GP car on his way to winning the 2009 Formula One drivers championship. The event in Silverstone this weekend is to celebrate 10 years since Button and Brawn won the championship. Ross Brawn who now runs Formula One’s sporting side of the business was at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend with his Brawn GP car.
