Hyundai Motorsports WRC Team’s Dani Sordo extended his overall lead in Rally Italia Sardegna on Saturday morning after winning two of the four stages. Sordo leads his team mate Thierry Neuville who has moved into second overall, 31.6s behind Sordo.
Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Sebastien Ogier was third just ahead of Elfyn Evans and M Sport Ford World Rally Team’s Teemu Suninen who has moved back to fifth following a handbrake issue.
The issue was solved however, Team Principal Richard Millener says it is going to be difficult for the Finn to recover to a podium on Sunday.
Ott Tänak is is sixth just ahead of Pierre Louis Loubet and Jari Huttunen. Oliver Solberg rounded out the top ten just ahead of Pontus Tidemand.
