Hyundai Motorsports Dani Sordo leads the way following day two of ACI Rally Monza on Friday in what were treacherous conditions in Italy. The Belgian ended the day just one second ahead of M-Sport Ford WRC Team’s Esapekka Lappi who had a wonderful day ending the day in second place just ahead of Sebastien Ogier.
Championship leader Elfyn Evans was fourth for Toyota 5.1s behind Sordo. Ott Tanak ended the day in fifth place just ahead of Kalle Rovenpera and Andreas Mikkelsen. Ole Christian Veiby was eighth just ahead of Elias Lindholm.
Oliver Solberg rounded out the top ten. It was a disappointing day for M-Sport Ford’s Teemu Suninen as he retired with an engine issue.
