Renault F1 Team development driver Carmen Jorda has responded to accusations from World Endurance Championship driver Marco Sorensen that her presence at the outfit forced him to quit the team by saying
I honestly don’t know who he is, I’ve never seen him at Enstone and he was not part of the team last year. I was a second or less from Grosjean, so I think if someone was eleven seconds faster than Romain, I am sure every team on the grid would want him.
Jorda was responding to comments made by the Danish driver who claimed:
She was 12 seconds slower than me in the simulator.
Sorensen also revealed that although he is happy to see his countryman Kevin Magnussen in the race seat at Renault for the 2016 season he didn’t get the seat because he couldn’t come up with the money needed to get the drive suggesting that Magnussen is paying for his seat at Enstone.
Sorensen also believes that Magnussen will outperform Jolyon Palmer in 2016.
