The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team announced on Wednesday that they have entered into a partnership with safety equipment manufacturer Sparco.
The Italian company which was founded in 1977 will provide the team’s drivers and mechanics with safety equipment manufacturers from the 2019 Formula One season onwards.
Speaking about the news, Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team Principal Frederic Vassuer commented on the news saying:
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Sparco as a new Official Partner. Sparco has been setting standards in the design and production of equipment and accessories in motorsport for decades. By supplying our drivers and pit crew with their products, together we will ensure that our team is provided with items that will meet the highest demands in terms of safety and comfort as we fight for ambitious results in the championship. We look forward to the collaboration.”
Sparco CEO Claudio Pastoris commented on the news saying:

Being able to contribute to safety in the development of the new single-seater and outfit two great racing drivers like Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi is an honour and a great responsibility for us.”
