The upcoming Circuit of the Americas Spring Training two day NTT IndyCar Series test provides New Zealander Scott McLaughlin with the perfect opportunity to show Team Penske what he can do.
The defending Virgin Australia V8 Supercar champion will make his NTT IndyCar Series race debut at the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on May 9.
Prior to the race in May, McLaughlin will get the opportunity to get further acquainted with the NTT IndyCar that he will drive when he takes part in the full field test.
McLaughlin will also get the opportunity to work alongside his team mates, defending seriea champion Josef Newgarden, Indianapolis 500 winner Simon Pagenaud and Will Power.
It is going to be interesting to see how McLaughlin does during the test and for Penske it is not a publicity stunt as McLaughlin has shown how fast he is and extremely impressive when he tested for Team Penske in the NTT IndyCar Series last month.
Spring Training takes place on February 11 and 12 at the Circuit of the Americas and race fans who have already purchased tickets for the AutoNation IndyCar Challenge have free access to the test or tickets for the test are available at the circuit.
