Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing’s Romain Grosjean was left disappointed following qualifying for the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey as the Frenchman will start the 95 lap race on Sunday from the seventh row of the grid in 13th place after just missing out on a place in the Firestone Fast 12.
Speaking following the session, Grosjean said:
“Our Nurtec ODT car was very quick again today in qualifying but unfortunately I got caught up behind another car on my fast lap and that cost us some time. The time lost meant that we were not able to make it into the Fast 12. Starting in the middle of the field isn’t ideal, but we will fight our way back up the tomorrow.
