Chip Ganassi Racing’s Tony Kanaan in the No.48 American Legion Honda who starts Sunday’s 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge from fifth place tells Paddock Eye that starting the race from upfront will make life a lot easier for him.

Kanaan who won the Indy 500 in 2013 said that while it is great to start up front it is where you finish that matters but that he is hoping things work out with strategy and it ends with him in Victory Lane.

Temperatures are due to be low on Sunday and Kanaan believes that this will make things more compact in terms of the field but he wants warmer temperatures as that will be beneficial for Chip Ganassi Racing.
